Re: Merry HIS-mas: Win an HIS Radeon HD 6870 Turbo Eyefinity4
What Eyefinity has done for me is open me up to the world of triple monitor computing. While playing games with an increased FOV is fantastic and I just can't go back, the possibilities it has also opened up for general desktop use makes it a winner hands down. Full kudos for AMD/ATi for pushing the ...

Re: Active DVI > DP Adaptor - Testing A Solution For Flickering
I bought the new sapphire active display port to DVI adapter to replace the dell display port adapter. I was having problems with the dell one working with the newer ATI drivers. I was having problems with the display going black sometimes. After get the new Sapphire adapter I have not had anymore ...

Re: Active DVI > DP Adaptor - Testing A Solution For Flickering
Ok well so much for the Gigabyte On/Off idea. I did a bit more research and discovered that it will only work with known devices and therefore requires the USB device to be detectable in Windows. Only way it would work is if someone could write their own program to make use of this chip so you could ...

Re: Active DVI > DP Adaptor - Testing A Solution For Flickering
I wonder if Gigabyte's USB On/Off Charge feature they have on their newer boards would help with any underpower issues? I have a Gigabyte board with this feature, but I've never thought to look into it let alone use it before I saw this thread. I'll be getting an Active DP - DVI Adaptor next week as ...

Re: 10.4 drivers discussion - no 5x1 support :(
Edit: I think I just jinxed it. lol. I did a reboot just to check, and it did it again. :( It's weird, it's like the driver update for a while either resolves the issue or reduces the occurance, then slowly it gets worse again. Like I said, previous drivers appeared to have reduced the occurance ...

Re: 10.4 drivers discussion - no 5x1 support :(
Happy to report that these 10.4 drivers appear to have solved the DP>VGA issue, where the display on the adaptor would require unplugging/plugging in order for the monitor to be detected correctly (otherwise it would get locked at 640x480). I've only installed these drivers the other day, but ...

Re: ATI Cursor Bug
Sometimes the mouse cursor will get garbled only on the center display. Hasn't happened for a few months but as soon as I started to install the various iterations of the 10.4 preview drivers it started happening again, randomly, and fixes itself, randomly.

Re: 640x480 eyefinity bug using Displayport-to-VGA adapter
I have to do this pretty much every boot. Sometimes it will be at 640x480, othertimes it goes completely blank. Not sure if there's a permanent fix for it, but some catalyst releases have been better than others in reducing the occurance.

Look out for the 10.3 drivers, which according to the below article, will support "Per-Display Colour Adjust". Maybe the 10.3 Beta's floating might have this already?

Re: 10.1 Hotfix released.
Is this normal for ATi? I'm pretty new to ATi, had Nvidia for many years until Eyefinity made me switch. It appears that after every driver release, there's always a hotfix quickly following. Not sure if it's a good thing (they get on top of issues quickly) or a bad thing (they push releases out too ...
