Almost a week with no DisplayPort adapter screen blanking...

I wrote amazon for a replacement and they honored it, sent my RMA overnight. And on the first night of several hours gaming it is blank free. I have not had an issue after roughly 3 hours of play. Im still holding my breath as I have seen it go this long before. I will report back in a few days ...

oh and i know I dont have some baller 5870 or whatever, but CAN THE REST OF US PRETTY PLEASE BE POINTED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR A BIOS!!!!!!!!

We need some disclosure and resolve here. First we were told to expect a driver update to resolve this and now it has changed to the adapters firmware revision being correct or not.

WHICH IS IT? Please for the love of god can the people with the resources and the know how to establish ...

well, nothing makes it any better.

Ive changed power supply and motherboard in an attempt to make certain im not underpowering the stupid adapter, but alas it still blanks out randomly.

I would really like a fix to this so i can move on. I know its new tech and bla bla, but before AMD's ...

It just cut out on me while playing some TF2.

took it around 4 hours though, cant really say whether thats a direct result of lessening the EMI or not...

darnit... I thought i had it licked.

I've heard of cases where just EMI from other devices close to the PC caused issues - in one case, just moving the PC sounds subwoofer away from the PC cleared up issues.

Tech support said not to flash BIOS, as it is a driver issue and is in process of being resolved :-) Good news finally.
