Maby no performance improvement but they always fix some errors and bugs for some new games and since ati drivers can have some bugs I always work with the latest drivers. I never had broblems to uninstall the drivers. Do you have the install maneger from ati that comes with the driver?

The new drivers 9.9 and 9.10 won't work with 3840x1024 only up to 2400x600 . Its a driver problem and I've been waiting for ati to fix this problem but they don't seem to be in a hurry.
I will switch back to 9.8 and just delete the driver and the control center trough "controlpanelprograms and ...
