Just for reference, since I swapped one of my screens for a Dell U2410 DP screen a few weeks ago, the screen has NEVER gone off, (although I now have other multiple screen flickering issues since I upgraded from a 5850 to a 5970!).

Got my Sapphire 5970 OC today. Looked forward to connecting it to my 3 dell 24 inch monitors for eyefinity. I have 2 dell 2405's (with just VGA and DVI) and a brand new dell 2408 (with DVI, HDMI, VGA and displayport). However the 5970 has MiniDP rather than DP.

I've finally had enough of this issue, so i've ordered a Dell U2410 displayport enabled monitor to see if that helps (I accept that this is an expensive way of testing this theory!).
