Re: My Monitor keeps going out ? ? ?
I'm using a 5870 with Eyefinity connected to 3 47" Vizio SV470XVT1A LCD screens. I'm using the Dell Active DP to DVI adapter and was experiencing intermittent loss of sync as well as lines on the screen. It would stop if I turned the TV off and then back on but would eventually come back after a ...

Bottom line for me is:
BIOS was the difference maker.
Adapter may or may NOT be the problem.[/list:u]
My advice - if you are having trouble, flash the BIOS at a MINIMUM. This is simple as dirt and if you have another video card you can always boot and flash it back.

Re: My Monitor keeps going out ? ? ?
Gave it a try, downloaded and flashed using: ATI.HD5870.1024.091112.bin
Flashing was quick and easy went well both times.
Flashing did not do anything to fix the DP connected panel (still flickered about once a second).

Having owned both TH2go (now sitting in a hall closet) and Eyefinity (currently struggling with bugs/inability to select reasonable resolutions), I can assure you that both suck in their own, unique ways.
But would you play without them? Shouldn't you say that they are both good ...

Re: If its any use...
The problem is the Adapter, I have only the seen this issue about 3 times on these boards. But most generally it's the adapter, Those adapters are hit and mostly miss on whether they work or not. You can try a DP->VGA adapter as they generally have more success.

Re: My Monitor keeps going out ? ? ?
Tech support said not to flash BIOS, as it is a driver issue and is in process of being resolved :-) Good news finally.
ERIC
That's definitely good news. But if you can't wait out the month for new drivers, the new BIOS works like a charm. :D

Re: My Monitor keeps going out ? ? ?
Holy crap this BIOS works. I had minimal issues to begin with using my Apple DP DVI adapter but it would still blink every now and then and oddly enough, more now than when I first purchased it. Annoying me a bit lately.
This BIOS fixes it! Absolutely stable display with no blinking.

Re: Are 3 x 4:3 (20 inch) Monitors better for surround gaming?
A couple of recent posts here made me think of something.
I remember the consensus on these boards years ago, slightly after Matrox released the digital TH2GO,that 3 x 4:3 offered a superior gaming experience to having 3 x widescreen, you got a more uniform display across, with less distortion ...

Catalst 9.12 has been posted - this add support for OpenGL 3.2 on our DX10.1+ products. Grab it here:

Thanks for the heads up! Love the new drivers. It seems to have fix a number of rendering bugs with Dragon Age (e.g. flashing with vsync enabled no longer a problem).

Re: Accell Adapter confirmed working after Bizlink failure
Thanks for that cogent explanation. I am hoping that, by the time they have Eyefinity working with CrossfireX, most of these problems will have been solved. Now that I'm able to play with Eyefinity, it's made me realize that a single 5870 is marginal at best for extreme resolutions like 5040x1050 ...

I get it too. It's rare, but really annoying when it does happen. Driver issue I assume (no overclocking here).

I'd love to give you a tutorial on how to get it working but setting up my 5850 was such a nightmare, I can't even remember what got it to start working, I think it just finally gave in.

Where to get DP-DVI Active Adaptors (& what to look for)
myus.com did a great job for me. They received the adapter from dell in 2 days and sent it to me the same day. It took just 2 more days for it to arive here in Croatia :o
I really didnt expect the whole deal to be done in just a week.
The cost (customs and delivery) was 50$

Negative, can't create a two monitor display group using the two DVI ports either.... back to the drawing board.
That's weird. It should at least work among the two DVI ports. Before getting my Apple DP DVI adapter, I had Eyefinity running across two monitors just fine for a couple of weeks ...
