| Awesome find Skid! I'm finally off my windowed single center monitor and onto all three. I've been trying to automate the FOV switch using a Logitech G-series keyboard macro in game, but have not had any luck getting the game to recognize the pause/break key via a macro. It recognizes the pause/brea... |

| Would you by any chance have the original, untouched 16:10 shot? Here it is, pure as the wind-driven snow. If you're planning on running some Photoshop calculations to check my results, please post your findings back here. Thanks. 1680x1050 (original) http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/1046/aion0018l... |

| Well, for TH2GO resolutions, Aion scales in VERT- which makes it completely broken in my book. In other words, playing at 5040x1050 means you get the same pixel information as someone playing at 1680x350. Here are screenshots to illustrate, from open beta (1.5): Triple monitor: Single monitor: Links... |

| I'm playing on just my middle monitor too. :( Because the servers are currently down and I have nothing better to do but complain about how bad VERT- sucks, I processed my screenshots from last night in Photoshop. I know we already know this -- but here's why (VERT-) 5040x1050 really equals 1680x350... |

I'm running the 190.56 drivers with TH2GO at 5040x1050 (GTX 285). In fact, I *couldn't* get the 182.50 drivers to work.
The link to the 190.56 drivers was on another thread here. They're basically an OpenGL 3.0 development branch off nVidia's driver line. |

| Well, my bug report to NCSoft's tech support got escalated once, and I finally received the following response: We appreciate your feedback. Aion uses the Crytek Engine that was created for the game Crysis. All video management is done by the engine and cannot be changed. Please let us know if you h... |

| Thanks for the link Anirk, I submitted the following bug report: Aion currently scales the display such that playing on three monitors at a 5040x1050 resolution gives you an effective field-of-view of 1680x350 -- i.e. the same field-of-view as if you were playing on one monitor at 1/3 the vertical r... |

Wow, those graphics look embarrassingly bad.
That ambulance looks like a 5-year-old drew it in Microsoft Paint.
Un-believable. |

I sent in a ticket to ncsoft regarding this issue and I suggest everyone do the same.
Anirk, was this through the NCSoft webpage? Do you have a link to the ticket form?
Thanks. |

| dopefish, do you think the hack would be derivative of the Far Cry hack, since both games share the same engine? Or would that have no bearing? |

| So along comes Aion, a beautiful, new MMO ready to challenge WoW with its stunning graphics (running the Crytek engine), except wouldn't you know -- it renders widescreen formats in the most hideous VERT- fashion possible. Are we doomed? Would a FOV fix possibly be derivative of the Far Cry hack, si... |

So, if NCSoft never fixes this, what are the chances of either making a 3rd party utility or modifying an existing one to correct for the FOV?
I think there was already an external fix for the Crytek engine (Far Cry), which Aion is based on.
Any ideas? |

Gilly, I assume you're running triple-screen? If so, do you have a screenshot of 5040x1050 also? That's where the VERT- is coming into play.
Thanks. |

| How sturdy are those? I don't see any way to lock them in place once you have them where you want them. Not sure how sturdy they are, but they do appear to have some tension adjustments and most of the reviews are pretty positive. They have 1-way, 2-way, and 3-way (link below) adjustable arms. http... |

| Another option are the cheap single monitor desk edge mounts from Monoprice (~$20). The advantage of these would be that they're cheap (~$60 for 3) and they mount on the desk edge, so they don't have a foot-stand take up any desk space. Personally I'm going this route, when my 22's arrive. http://ww... |
