| my question is fearly strait forword, Radeon HD 5970 only has a mini DP not a normal DP and i am wondering if a mini DP to Normal DP with the active adapter to dvi will work ? Screen card (mini DP) => Mini DP~(adapter)~DP => DP~(active adapter)~DVI => DVI~(cabel)~DVI => DVI (screen) will that work ?... |

| When I start my computer in Windows 7 RC1 (7100) it automatically is starting in 5040x1050. I rarely have to reset the res anymore leaving a game it just stays in 5040x1050 which is awesome can sombody else comfirm as well that this is not an isolated insident ? and that win 7 now got 5000*1000 res... |

| well if windows 7 is goign to be the new os out there we nead to solve this ... i cant jumpe form xp to win 7 like i was hoping if this ceaps up .. aint there anny way we can put this up in front of the programes eyes in microsoft ? so thay can fix it. before sales ? so 5040*1024 works |

i can confirm somwat that it might have been McAfee
i reinstaled and it works fine now .. so the fact that i instald mcafee the other time before i instald the drivers are the most likely reason . |
