High End Gaming Rig for Surround Gaming

Do you really think I read your marathon posts full of gibberish? I have better things to do than argue with someone that asks for help, refuses to listen to it, then goes around on the same forum trying to sell what he mistakenly bought.

Furthermore you best stop with the cheap insults. There ...

High End Gaming Rig for Surround Gaming

Another post that doesn't justify reading in it's entirety, mentioning contrast ratios and wattages that you somehow, for no apparent reason, believe are not possible, and for utterly absurd reasons concerning the Creative sub I mentioned. Hmmm, could it be your denial instead? You have a history ...

High End Gaming Rig for Surround Gaming

Shintsu, I got a few sentences into your rant response and realized it's not worth reading in it's entirety. You obviously can't seem to respond maturely to a person's opinions or the mention of easily found specs on gear, nor do you realize how ridiculous you yourself sound when making such ...

Everybody is entitled to an opinion, please keep it civil...
I respect that, but there's a difference between expressing an opinion and then simply bad mouthing something else because you don't like it. I don't like AMD or ATI quite a lot but I don't make up bad things about them, the only bad ...

High End Gaming Rig for Surround Gaming

[quote]@ Frag, I have never cared for Creative's speakers either. They're not as atrocious as their sound cards but they still leave a lot to be desired to me. Trust me, I've done a blind comparison with an audiophile friend of mine and he thinks the Z-5500s sound great. I'm with you on anything ...

You should integrate the computer into your home audio system, get more return on your investment.

I do like a lot of boom in my games and stuff, as it adds to the realism when a grenade goes off if your room shakes. Also once in a while the mood strikes me turn my hose into a dance hall. Bass ...

High End Gaming Rig for Surround Gaming

There is nothing wrong with the Z5500 but its nothing compared to a full blow home theather setup like I use. Also you can expect critisism with an all in one set like that on a audio forum. They will tell you that the cost of a good decoder/amp is high, so a set like that will sacrifice the ...

High End Gaming Rig for Surround Gaming

While not ultra high end I am an audio enthusiast. Thats why I broke my old X-Fi modding the Op-Amps :P

I run Klipsch Quintet III speakers from my amp from the computer, and use Audio Technica A700's for my headphones. I was going to get the X-Fi prelude but it was too expensive.

I cant ...

High End Gaming Rig for Surround Gaming

To respond to Frag's post earlier about the M-Audio not having DTS support: I am able to use DTS flawlessly with my Z-5500s. I feel like a fool here but whatever it is allows DTS to work perfectly with any movie I play that is DTS enabled (And trust me I do it, love the sound of DTS). In any case ...

Okay, I didn't read your whole list but I see you want surround gaming and you have a Creative sound card selected. BIG NO NO! Say NO to the Creative! They make rubbish sound cards, drivers are pretty poor and they overcharge for low featured sound cards. I say this because I did extensive research ...

Re: rply

Currently the best steering wheel is the Logitech G25.
Really? I find that hard to believe. It's such a high priced one and it seems like many people would assume just drop $100 on a decent one than go all out for an excellent one. Usually people's attitude in other areas so it strikes me as odd ...

need some help choosing a steering wheel

Thanks guys for the help.

Have decided to go for the G25 as i got to have a feel of a display model today.

Now to convince my girlfriend that it is the perfect gift for me for my 30th in a bit over a week. :D
Nice choice, hehe let us know how you like it. I'm sure you'll love it ...

need some help choosing a steering wheel

Eh, I don't see anything wrong with auto cars but it's fun to drive manual and since I drive a big luxo-coupe they wouldn't come with manuals anyways! Easier to get the clutch stuff for a game than to get a car with a clutch (Believe me I tried lol). I believe Ultima GTR or something like that is ...

The one that's on my wish list is the Logitech G25 racing wheel. In case you're not familiar with what it looks like:

My huge attraction to this thing is the true clutch. Very cool and just like a real car. I hate those other ones that just have a little knob you move forward and back ...

Help me choose a new computer display

No, there's no rainbow coloring on anything. I don't see how there's glare, it's positioned to where it has minimal glare. I don't have any direct lighting on it, it looked this way last night with all the lights off and just the monitor being on so I really doubt glare being the culprit of this ...

Help me choose a new computer display

Not shiny, greasy looking. Like someone wiped their forehead on a piece of glass would look, except the whole screen appears this way. Depending on how I set my eyes, it's more noticable. If I look at the screen and not what's on it it's very noticable, but if I look at the image it's less so (If ...

Help me choose a new computer display

That's not why it was so cheap. These are nit pick questions I have. The monitor I believe is great, I'm just seeing if what I'm observing are LCD characteristics or monitor flaws. I've never had an LCD monitor before, I've been a die-hard CRT fan for years and years now.

Help me choose a new computer display

I purchased the Viewsonic VX2025wm for $150! It looks pretty good but I have a few questions I'm sure someone here could help me with:

1. It seems as if the corners are diagnoally a little bleedish - is this normal?

2. The screen almost appears kind of greasy looking despite the fact I ...

Help me choose a new computer display

I have found a Viewsonic VX2025wm for sale on my Craigslist for $170 in great condition. I made an offer for $150. I looked it up and the monitor is a Premium MVA! This would be a great deal no? I was looking to spend around $200 or less and this is a great compromise and a gain since I can get my ...

Help me choose a new computer display

I watch movies on the PC - it has a THX Certified surround system and a nice sound card and audio cable totalling around $450. I would be an idiot not to watch movies on my PC, so that's what I do - watch them on my PC.

I'm well within accepting a TN panel to get the cost low enough on a 24 ...
