Thanks for your invaluable help. It is very appreciated but, to be honest, I've already sold the 2690. And I have fear enabling the DDR Spread Spectrum feature at this moment, when the 2690 no longer belongs to me. I think if I enable that feature, the warranty WILL BE VOID (it's an option hidden to...

Hi Tamlin I don't think it's a "interference problem", because the monitor has been tested in another house, different to mine, with another devices and an electrical installation different to mine. Waves are visible even if the room is very lit. For now, the monitor is left on my friend's house for...

Is it lines or waves that you see? Both, but waves concerns much more to me. He had an issue where there were he could see some lines particulary on the left side of the screenAnd yes, I can confirm this. It is noticeable under gray background. Lines are slightly more separate on the left part tan t...

Hi Tamlin: Sorry for asking help you again... but I have a problem with my 2690 (not related with resolutions this time). My problem is I see (faint) horizontal waves running from bottom to top under certain conditions: mainly with grey and blue backgrounds and only in the left corner of the screen ...

Thanks for your invaluable help. In the other hand I've a strange issue with my current 6600GT and the 2690WUXi. If I set the ECO MODE option to ON, the next time I turn on the monitor it only achieves 1280x720 as maximum resolution. In order to get the native resolution, I have to recall the factor...

Hello!

I'm almost convinced that the purchase of an ATi card. Is the assembler important? Your graphics card is assembled by Gainward, isn't it?

What do you think about Sapphire and ASUS cards? Do you have any recommendation for me?

Thanks a lot!! :)

Therefore, if I buy an ATi card, do you think I could rescale text-mode resolutions without restrictions on both connections, DVI and VGA?

I'm not a hardcore gamer but I want a graphics card prepared for the future (Windows Vista & 7). May be a 4850 a good option?

Thanks again ;)

I can check the Nvidia 7800GT with VGA via dongle this weekend if you haven't already and when my soon to be ATI 4870X2 arrives, I can retest it then with scaling

Hi Tamlin, any news?

Hi Tamlin.. This NEC shows text mode and the XP logo screen with 1920x1200px. No interpolation options are available with native resolution. I think the XP logo screen is 640x480px size... but what about text mode? My NEC 20WGX2 shows text mode as 720x400px and interpolation options are available. T...

Read the review at TFT Central. And yes, oversaturation cannot be tammed in a proper way if you don't have an ATi card and Catalyst Control Center installed, because the sRGB mode in this model is "useless". It seems that decreasing the saturation in the ATi control panel color saturation is decreas...

If it doesn't matter the wide gamut issue, go to the HP, if not, go to the BenQ. Some people claims that the wide gamut feature riches the playing experience, but don't forget that wide gamut monitors are intended for photography and graphic designers and they will show oversaturated colors, special...

Okey, thanks... When I will purchase the NEC I'll try to calibrate it in native mode to the sRGB gamma curve... since another poster of [H] claims he has achieved betters results than in the fixed sRGB mode... If I would have any problem/doubt, I will contact you again. I have a Monaco OPTIX Pro cal...

Please, skip the technical part and explain in detail the practical part with SpectraView Profiler or SpectraView II... My only inte...

Thanks for your UNVALUABLE help, Tamlin  Sorry to bother you again... Also I've read that calibrating the NEC to the sRGB Gamma Curve instead the L* Curve can decrease the saturation a bit and the result is better than the fixed sRGB preset mode. Do you know something about this? And if yes, c...

Hi Tamlin: Yes, I have the SpectraView II software downloaded from NEC America and I have a valid serial number from a friend of mine (don't know if this it's legal, sorry) . The SpectraView II software is version 1.0.42 and I cannot install it because my 20WGX2 is not found in the list of ac...

HP's has a H-IPS panel, while BenQ's has a S-PVA panel. HP's is a wide gamut monitor and the BenQ's is a standard gamut monitor. I would go to the BenQ, although it has a panel of lower quality, because the sRGB mode in the HP is "useless". You'll see oversaturated colors on the HP. With the BenQ no...
