Thanks everybody for your input. I'm not the proud owner of 5 dell U2410s :) ... of course now I need to figure out how to mount them, and move around a bunch of stuff on my desk to fit them... but I'm excited. The dell stands seem nice... but I'd like to be able to raise them higher in Portrait mod...

Anybody know the physical dimensions of the Dell U2410 screen without the stand attached?

Also, can anybody recommend a good mounting solution for 5x1 Portrait?

Are there any multi-monitor mounting solutions that allow an easy swap from portrait to landscape for some of the monitors?

For those with a 1920x1080 display, how do you feel about it when in portrait? I've always had 1280x1024 or 1680x1050 Landscape monitors... 1080x1920 seems like it might be too narrow. do you like it in portrait, or would you prefer it to be 1200 wide?

Can anyone recommend a good DisplayPort monitor for use with my new Eye6 card? Ultimately I'm hoping to go 5x1 so bezel size is somewhat important, but so is cost [since i'll probably buy 5-6) I'd prefer a smaller monitor as I have limited desk space, but I'd like at least 1920x1080. Any thoughts? P...

So I broke down and picked up a 5870 eye6 [ Woot! :) ] Now I'm figuring out how to drive my 6 monitors (all DVI/VGA/HDMI)... right now i'm planning to use the 2 passive miniDP --> DVI adapters + either 4 of the cheap minidp-->VGA or 4 active DP --> DVI adapters. I read through part of the "Where to ...

The DVI outputs are full dual liink outputs, so they can go to 2560x1600. TH2G requires support of some non-standard modes though and they were not included in the driver code re-write that was required to support the new display pipeline of the HD 5000 series. Thanks! One last question ... all of ...

[quote]Why? Because I can ;-P didn't you see the picture when I ran 2 TH2Gs off an 8800GT for Lotro like a year or 2 ago? :) Wasn't that also in WinXP when you could do vertical spanning? I guess you would be planning on a 2x1 Eyefinity group? lol, yeah, true that was with span, so fair enough. But...

My guess is that it should work. I guess so because they already include dp-dvi adapters with your EF6 edition. Besides you can always try dp-vga Dont you have the adapters already so you can try? Don't have any adapters yet, i've been holding off buying the 5870 eye6 until I figure out if there's ...

Why are you going with the Eyefinity6? Driving a TH2Go through an E6 seems like a waste. If you want 2GB and drive a TH2Go, then get a 2GB 5870. Why not get the Active Adapter and use Eyefinity? Why? Because I can ;-P didn't you see the picture when I ran 2 TH2Gs off an 8800GT for Lotro like a year...

I'm getting ready to upgrade my surround rig again, and I'm trying to understand if I'm going to require an active DP --> DVI adapter to get Dual Link 5040x1050 DVI output from the 5870 Eye6? Or if I'm only driving one TH2G, will the passive adapter (or a different passive adapter) support Dual Link...

[quote]Anybody have an opinion on the Asus VK222H vs SAMSUNG 2253BW.
