Had just about enough of Matrox & TH2G
Why, oh why can't we get a working 5040x1050 with WHQL driver Nvidia releases? I'm primarily a pc gamer, and I'm always picking up the newest games. Of course the newest games often require new drivers to perform well, especially with SLI. Getting top gfx card performance is essential when you're ...

Nvidia 181.20 and GXM 2.04.00.011 Fix for 5040x1050
Welcome and I am glad it worked for you. For me it didn't, while I was playing around I tried every refresh between 50 and 60 but still kept getting the test failed message.
However it is worth a try, the test failed thing is (I think) caused by matrox overwriting the custom res stuff. Svet-am ...

Anyone have a good SLI profile for this? (nHancer or not) I actually get some drops w/ SLI enabled that aren't there when I disable it.

Flawless surround support, you can even set if resolution is for 1, 2 or 3 mons (aspect ratio for menus, ingame looks similar, with ok FOV).
With my Q6600 and 8800ultra, I have avgs of about 45ps - 5040x1050 4xAA, 55fps - 5040x1050 0xAA

Anyone have this already? I'm downloading now off Direct2Drive and wondering if the previously discussed TH2G support is actually included. Also, I didn't see an SLI profile in the 181.22 driver set... any one have any tips for getting good SLI results?

TH2GO+280GTX TriSLI Issues
[quote][quote]Right, I've got it sorted, thanks to you guys' input. I eventually swapped my otherwise fully functional USB powered D-Link hub for a Belkin model I still had lying about, plugged the TH2Go USB cable in, and it worked!

They seem to be generated from your current resolution. I assume you've taken your screenshot after getting 5040x1050 since it says your refresh rate is 57Hz already.

It's not just you; I get the same thing in 5040x1050. Using 177.83. Works fine in other rez's.

I give up - 3 hours and still no 5040 x 1050
Just thought about it, not sure if the 175.xx's will work with your GTX. Try them, but if it doesn't work, add the custom rez w/ ALL the settings in this picture (use manual to adjust the settings, ignore the "auto" in the screen shot- it's just so you can see the values). You will have to change ...

I believe your issue is the 177 series drivers.
Try my fix here (I know it's complicated) but it's worked for me multiple times.

Fix for inability to run in 5040x1050 - Official Thread
Just in my experience, I had to change the desktop between several different TH2G modes, and reboot a couple times before I was allowed to select it in game. Come to think of it, I may have had to power down the TH2G as well (mine still has power even when the cpu is off). Not sure which of those ...

Just an update, I've solved my issues w/ the newer drivers for the most part. Something is messed up (at least in my experience) with Nvidia's custom resolution options on the 177 series drivers.

I even tried taking sections from the nv_disp.inf file that specified resolutions, from the drivers that were working with the new modes, and pasted them over the corresponding sections on the non-working drivers. Installed and run fine, but no dice on the new resolutions.

Hello everyone,
Was wondering if anyone has gotten the new TH2G modes to work with any of the nvidia drivers beyond 175.19. I get significant perfermance gains with the newer series, however, for some strange reason the two new widescreen modes will not show up. I've tried 177.73, and 177.79 ...
