Wow, totally over my head...
First, thank you ychng, kondor999 and Sideeffect, best info. I've found so far in how to replace the EDID with something else.
Second, unfortunately, even if it did replace the EDID it didn't help my problem. I'm trying to use eDimensionnal lcd shutter glasses ...

But, one of my most stressful (and favorite) games - Arma 2 - ironically runs quite well at this extreme resolution. I knew it was heavily CPU-bound, but this is ridiculous! Basically, I'm getting about 33fps (which is good in Arma 2, trust me) at 5760x1200 and everything set at Normal ...

Can't believe that I had never heard of this game prior to reading this. Took me a long time to figure out if this was a strat game or shooter, or both.
Now all I know is that I want it. :)

Elven Legacy - Great game, Works Great with Eyefinity
Not sure how many fans of this great turn-based game are out there (http://www.paradoxplaza.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=483&Itemid=), but it runs wonderfully on Eyefinity - and it even supports Crossfire!!. No tweaking at all required - except I discovered that Crossfire and FRAPS ...

Re: Catalyst 9.12 / 9.12 Hotfix - Eyefinity and Crossfire!!
Its all good for me though I haven't seen the cards get above 65 Celsius. and they Idle around 42. So, that's fine for me. so I'm not going to even download afterburner after all. Why mess with a good thing. right?
The only reason I run Afterburner is to see (via OSD or my G15) how much/if ...

Re: Accell Adapter confirmed working after Bizlink failure
Fair enough. Would be interested in seeing what it's like with a 2GB card, but it's possibly a raw power issue on that front... triple-wide resolutions (particularly the ones opened up by EyeFinity like 5670x1200 and (whatever 3x2650 is)x1600 really hammer GPUs harder than anything else.
True ...

I expected a larger difference between the minimums...
Believe me, the difference between 27 and 45 min fps is night and day in terms of actual gameplay. The former isn't even playable - the latter imperceptible.

Yes, the FOV/aspect ratio is done very well. In fact, that's a real stand-out vs. other games.
I hear you about the learning curve. Definitely play on "Recruit" for a long time! But, no other game provides the same sense of really being there. It has a wonderful, open-ended sandbox feel to it ...

The mods are right on this one. I too have been very frustrated at times and ended up reacting emotionally and posting items of questionable value (and that's being generous). But, the end result is always the same: 2 pages of back-and-forth, none of which advances our mutual goal of getting this ...

Re: ARMA 2 - Runs very well at 5760x1200
Well, it might be best to just install and try it. I can tell you that it worked surprisingly well on my system even at 5760x1200 - probably because it's so CPU dependent.
I'm now running at 5040x1050, and am anxious to try it again - if I can stop playing NFS Shift long enough!

Re: Accell Adapter confirmed working after Bizlink failure
[quote]This is just regarding NFS: Shift. As of 1.02 of the game, and the latest drivers (with hotfix), the game is running perfectly. I get a steady 140+ FPS at 1920x1200 8xAA 16AF. Smokin'! My SLI'd GTX 280's are left in the dust.
That's good. I was going purely by the demo. :) Does the ...

[quote]Yeah eyefinity stays in place while uninstalling/installing the new drivers. I could not go from 9.11 -> 9.12 unless I disabled eyefinity first. I also ran driver sweeper to make sure I was golden. I booted with just 1 screen working and a low resolution so I know the drivers were gone ...
