Ok, here are 4 easy steps to make Freelance "True" Widescreen. This is an edit from a post so I did not come up with the resolution, I am not the author I've just edited for corrections and verified it works!
1) Go to my documents > my games > freelancer and open "prefoptions.ini" in notepad ...
