Sorry for the bump, but has anyone found a better solution to resize this game? NVidia scaling doesn't seem to work at all, I always end up with a 1024x768 image within a native-res black border all around, even with fixed aspect ratio scaling enabled.
The closest I've come to getting an aspect ...

Plasma: 1024x786 = 16:9???
You cannot get 1024x768 and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The res is what determines the aspect ratio. The res is the aspect ratio.
That's not entirely true. It's possible to have non-square pixels. In fact, it's not even uncommon. Anamorphic DVDs for instance use non-square pixels (720x576 would be 1.25 ...

Matrox TH2G Update ? for better resolution on Widescreens?
so not even a update will fix?
No.
In the simplest terms, three 1920x1080 monitors have more pixels than can be transferred via dual link DVI.

I used quick save quite liberally throughout the game since going into the menu and overwriting an existing save just took too long for how often I saved.
I usually cleared all but the most recent saves either before or after a session, though, to keep the save folder from becoming too bloated.

If you go with BenQ, make sure their warranty support is good where you are. I had an FP91E (fairly expensive when I bought it) break and it took their outsourced support center 3 attempts to replace it with one that wasn't also broken or had an awful amount of dead pixels.

It doesn't change the width of the desktop resolution. You can position the 1280x720 window inside a 1280x768 desktop without losing anything on the sides.

So to them, Sam & Max Season Two can't be played in widescreen at all.
Unless of course they use 1280x720 in windowed mode.

Now bascially, all I want to do, is play games on this screen...however as my 19in CRT is my primary monitor, how do I have the games load up on the 2nd monitor? Whenever I load up a game, it always loads up on the primary monitor, not my secondary HDTV.

The combat system took me some getting used to. Otherwise it's a good, but not great, RPG.
To those in the US I'd recommend buying the UK version of the game, as your M-rated version is censored.

The Gametap version stores everything in proprietary files (even saves, configs and such that would normally be in Documents).
There's a standalone version available now though, and a demo. Maybe someone else can verify that 1280x768 isn't natively supported before I start digging into another ...

I'll try to get the lower widescreen resolutions to work (it's a matter of getting them to work with my system, not the game). However, my monitor's native res is 1680x1050 so I can't test the higher ones myself.

VLC is great when "it just needs to work", since it comes with its own built-in codecs for the most common formats. It is, however, not the best option when it comes to quality.

Dare i ask - NFS: Pro Street widescreen? well.. demo
Nice to see decent widescreen support. However I'm disappointed with the controls. This is the first NFS I've tried since Underground and compared to RACE 07, Sega Rally or Juiced 2 the cars in Pro Street feel like a tank.
