how can we enter a custom resolution in fifa 08 without having to use locale.ini?

has anybody found some sort of solution?

Did anybody have any luck with setting fifa 08 at 2560x1600?

I tried the locale.ini method but things looked stretched. And i also tried the icon 'target' method but had no luck either.

If anyone gets lucky please let us know...
