I have experience of the TH2G and I never really though of the bars/gaps as a problem ...
the second choice, (I have gotten used to them and now they are not a problem ... I don't really notice them any more ...) isnt ...

I don't have experience of a TH2G but I think they would be an annoyance in Windows but when engrosed in games they probebly wouldn't be really noticable ...

okay the ploblem solved itself - i just needed to jump into another sector and from that moment on it works fine. i hope it stays this way... :D

i did it 8)
after installing the latest SGU, i started the game X3 : Reunion. before the game starts, i can choose the resolution and took 3072x768.
after loading, the menu appears on 3 screens, and the game does too. and its not strethed - perfect.
i started flying ...

i just realized that the 4:3 TFT screens are really 5:4. i dont know why it is common to call them 4:3, but if you measure the sides, it turns out to be 5:4, just like the pixel ratio. so dont worry about the nonsqare pixel anymore. it seems that at least this problem could be solved with the ...

a 4:3 panel does not have square pixel (1280/1024 = 3.75:3)!
(=> they are wider than high)
and i bet you will never find a widescreen with pixel that are higher than wide... :cry:
