yea its really weird that no review says anything about crossfire with 4 displays. They don't even try it. Even bigger question: if softTH can manage it, why can't they implement decent drivers that do the same (and perhaps faster) Anyways, enough here a info bit for ya: What I can see that the card...

Is this old news, or does this advert the coming (2005/2006) of sli technology for accelerated rendering across 1/2/3/4 screens on 2 cards!?

Any thoughts on this?

I agree with the 4 screens thing. but 3 screens no span is possible:

span modes require same sized screens
with DD2Go you would create a 3840x1200 screen
and you would have another screen 1920x1200. not the same size.
(maybe I missed something with the span modes, but I don't think so)

Well it's an equasion of money versus surface area.
3x 24" (or 3x 22" if you will) will have relatively more surface area per $$.
or vise versa less $$ per square inch :P

with horizontal span it is possible to "merge" 2 screens to 1, and it is possible to play a game across 2 screens. However as you say: you have a big bar in the middle.

is horizontal span possible with 3 screens with 2 vidcard?
