Widescreen Windows (but at a lower res!)

Hi,

Thanks for the info, will give these a shot.

Another possible solution - is it possible to move the monitor closer to you, or is it in a fixed spot on your desk?

Widescreen Windows (but at a lower res!)

OK, I have taught myself aspect ratios and worked out this is a 1.6:1 monitor.

That would mean i just need to get windows to run in 1280x800 if possible.

Any ideas anyone?

p.s. It can't stay at 1440x900

Cheers

Have tried that, but things are still to small - when you go into outlook etc.

On old monitors, you could get one that was designed to run at 1024x768 but you could drop it down to 800x600 or even 640x480 and it would work fine.

There must be a way to drop this down.
