Yeah, loads of people can run it at that resolution. It's just the 1680 x 1050 res that it doesn't like for some reason. I've added to the official "1680 x 1050 problem" thread on the Darkstar forum, and the devs are aware.

The admins on the forum keep saying that the devs are workingon a fix ...

The 1.2 beta patch doesn't work either. Does anyone have an unofficial fix for this?

Any updates on this matter? I literally just installed the game and my monitor is also 1680 x 1050. I'm going to start a game and then patch it with the 1.2 beta patch.

Anybody else having problems with their mouse not working with the 1.4 patch. My mouse doesn't work in the game at all, but does in the menus. Odd. I might have to revert back to the 1.33 patch too see if that works.

Shame really, because I really like the multiplayer.
