If I set my Y resolution to anything above 1024, it drops back to that figure before loading, no matter what I do. This is on both D3D and OGL.
The X resolution remains at what I set it to, and I get that terrible "falling off the right hand side of the screen" thing aapje gets.

"The custom resolution cannot be added" is all I get back from nvidia when I try it. Either that, or a BSOD in an nvidia file. It's been years since I saw one of those. That's trying to add any res you can name. 1600x1000, 1280x800, 1920x1080.

Because it's made by the same guys who wrote "solid as a rock" Daggerfall, only it's more complex? :)

I am indeed using the 90 series, and I wouldn't have purchased a 1920x1200 panel if I didn't have enough ram to run it at native. 6800GT with 256mb.
Considering dropping back to older drivers. I think the game just hates 16:10, but works with 16:9. If I can manually set 1600:1000 and 1920:1080 ...

1600x900 doesn't work....
UNLESS I set my Windows desktop to that resolution. Then it works like a charm. Now how the hell do I set my desk to 1920x1080? :)
Using the nvidia control panel, the "custom resolution" option just says "Nope, can't do that" without giving me so much as a reason why.

Laptop's native res on it's own screen is 1024x768. I disabled that entirely to test with the 2407.
Define "get it added to your system". That's a bit of a vague one.

Right, so that's not happening :)
Pity, because it's just about the shiniest thing ever. It deserves widescreen.

I suspect your experiences are going to be along the lines of "the game plays exactly the same, but now I have a migraine".
According to that article, Doom's 60hz tic is only in place to prevent physics exploits, which is all well and good.

Doom 3 was capped to 60fps in order to let everyone's character jump the same distance?
That's a strange claim. and one that makes no sense of any kind.
Just because something isn't drawn, doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

I recently scored a Dell 2407, and I've been adding WS mode to all my games, and loving it. However, I've run into a problem with Homeworld.
Yes, I've read this.
