The gameplay is great fun, but its hard to shake the feeling that its just a tech demo that they tried to shoehorn a story in to at the last minute. I never got that feeling with FarCry.

I am still looking forward to the next one.

Heres my take. 7 out of ten, and I don't knock it because of bugs. In my experience Crysis is one of the most stable well polished games I've played in a while. I did encounter some bugs, but very few. As for the AI, I only saw it doing one profoundly stupid thing in two playthroughs. (I came up beh...

Sorry I haven't updated this in so long. I have been playing with the setting on the new monitor and I have gotten 1024x768 to work with the setting I posted earlier, but it only works at 75Hz not 60Hz. 1280x1024 is just the opposite it only works with 60Hz (If anyone has any theories on that...

Figures  , I didn't buy a $250 wheel, so I could be forced to use a $25 gamepad. I'm Definitely not getting it now.

I thought about the graphics settings, but even with everything turned down as low as it can go it's still has the delay. I tried with two wheels and the keyboard now. I didn't try a gamepad, and I don't intend to. I have no desire to play with a gamepad. Unless I hear the controls have been majorly...

The guy on the other board had the 360 version. I guess it is the PC version. I tried my wheel and the keyboard, and they are both undirveable.

I was talking with a guy on another board, and said he had the same problem with the controls being to sensitive. I don't know why mine has the huge delay. Once it does finally move I always majorly over steer and slam in to the wall or run off the road. So, its not that it is under sensitive, it's ...

My rig wouldn't even come close to running it with all the settings pegged, but even with everything at medium it looked fantastic. But, the controls are horrible. There's like a full second delay between input and reaction. After playing Ricard Burns Rally and GTR2 it is definitely arcady. It could...

I didn't even know that COD 3 was a console only release, but come to think of it I never saw it for PCs. From what I heard it was no big loss. I actually might pick up Metal of Honor Airborne, though.

Does anyone know how to get this to work with the nVidia control panel? These are the only options there are; there doesn't seem to be back end active or anything. I tried messing with horizantal total and vertical total, but those didn't seem to do anything, still stretched by monitor (trying to g...

This doesn't work for me. Every time I set the timing standard to CVT and apply it everything just goes back to default. :? I'm desperate to make this work so I can play PES6 properly (don't have a good enough hardware to play with a WS resolution). You need to set the CVT standard. Then change the...

People have expressed fears of a poor console port, but from what i can understand, this is going to be PC only, at least at first. Hopefully this will secure decent multiplayer like the first COD had. PC only? Really? If so sweet. I am tired of getting console hand-me downs. About time we got back...

I am kind of in the same boat. PCs games have kind of been slow lately. My recommendations: FEAR- Great game, very good AI, good story, great effects, I will admit not a lot of variety in the environments. It's a bit strenuous on video cards, but it's not the system killer it once was. It's expansio...

The numbers look good. You might want to go a little lower, though. I had trouble if I set them to high with the monitor saying no signal. Mine are set at: 1280x1024 = 1600 1024x768 = 1225 800x600 = 950 640x480 = 765 I have heard of some people having the settings not save, but not me. They just sta...

I just started playing The Longest Journey. It's from 1999, I think. I kind of miss the old school adventure games, but it is just about a bygone genera. It only has one resolution, though, 640x480.

I'm having the same problem described by the OP with my eVGA 7600 GS, 1680x1050 ViewSonic 2025wm and the same drivers, but the fix doesn't seem to be working. The ONLY 4:3 resolution that results in pillarboxes on my desktop is 1400x1050. Any other resolution I set (640x480, for example), stretches ...

it works fine @ 6600GT with 93.71 @ HW191D , too, but when i start a game which supports only 4:3 aspect ratio, the monitor or the 6600GT switches back to full mode and stretches the resolution of the game, which looks terrible. How can i fix it, so that the scaling works for games, too, not only fo...

I know there are some people with Nvidia video cards (namely the 7900 series) that the fixed aspect ratio scaling option doesn't work. I have read it is a problem with some driver versions, or with some monitors. You will see a garbled screen or no change or the wrong change. I have been playing aro...

This is great! Been playing around with it but can't seem to figure out if there is a way to store these settings, I like running Windows at 1680x1050 but would still like to be able to play games in Pillar box like Baldur's Gate which runs at 640x480 (or 800x600 for BGII). Thanks in advance Jimmy e...

Just select the resolution want to be pillar boxed, like say 1024x768, then on the screen in your screen shot click the advanced timing button. Then, follow the instructions in my first post. Let me know if it works. Sorry it took so long to reply. I have been getting the new rig up and running. :D
