Re: Now that AMD supports PLP gaming on AMD 290X will Nvidia

Should be interesting either way. I'm sitting on my hands waiting for the new R9 300 series cards. My R9 280X cards are itching to be upgraded.

Re: Assistance Needed - Fourth Display Routed Through Receiv

Is there any particular reason why you must use HDMI signal out for sound and do a pass-though of the receiver?

Re: NTHUSIM now listed on Steam Greenlight

Thanks!

It's listed under Greenlight software listings not the Greenlight games listings, so it's a bit hidden on Steam.

NTHUSIM now listed on Steam Greenlight

Image

The NTHUSIM Steam Greenlight listing just went live today. We have plans for full Steamworks integration for NTHUSIM 4.1.
Anyone interested in having NTHUSIM added to Steam please give our Greenlight listing an upvote! :onethumb:

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?

Just a brief follow up. I have Nvidia Surround working on my GTX770 running 2x1 span. Not sure what all cards they enabled this on, but it's at the very least on 700 and 900-series.

Re: Nvidia can now do 4 -5 Screen Surround!

I'm using Nvidia Surround 2x1 right now on my GTX770 347.52 drivers. Never would of thought that would happen. It's a welcome surprise. Makes me wonder how it finally came about since it pretty much doesn't look like anything about WSGF brought it about.

Re: Nvidia can now do 4 -5 Screen Surround!

A bit of a follow up for completeness sake. We now know 2x1, 3x1, 4x1 and 5x1 is viable on Nvidia Surround. Is 2x2 and 3x4 available too?

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?

On diameter/radius, typically between 10-20 foot diameter with a radius of 5-10 feet range. 10 foot wide diameter pushes the extreme I'd be willing to do because the smaller radius means tighter curvature for the screen arcs for the projectors to cover. That pushes the extremes of the focus depth ...

Re: Prepar3d on 4 Monitors with ATI Video

No need for pre-warping software on LCDs. It's strictly for projector use. The main goal for pre-warping software is to take a flat projection and make it conform to a curved screen.

My guess, changing the resolution within P3D should fix most of the issue.

Custom camera views within P3D are done ...

Re: Prepar3d on 4 Monitors with ATI Video

My assumption is that you're working with an Eyefinity 4x1 span.

My assumption why you have 4 cloned screens in P3D is that you've not set within P3D the actual spanned resolution and it's cloning a single screen resolution to all the screens. This is typically what Eyefinity does if you have an ...

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?

I'm repurposing my 3D theater room for this, I'll be blacking out the full front wall with black velvet. Approximately how far back from the center of the screen do you sit? I have an immovable stage in the way, if I bring the screen wall out too much, with the curvature you won't be able to enter ...

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?

I might be off on saying the W1080ST has lens shift. I have a W1070 I'm basing my experience on and I has both lens zoom and shift. My understanding the only difference between the W1080ST and the W1070 was lens throw ratio. I might be wrong though.

Re: Nvidia can now do 4 -5 Screen Surround!

No worries, was pretty much expecting it. Very good to see the new 2x1, 4x1 and 5x1 options though. That puts things in parity with Eyefinity. It's always been an issue with 2x1 because I'd have to expalin why AMD Eyefinity was able to do 2x1, 3x1, 4x1 and 5x1 but Nvidia was only able to do 3x1 ...

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?

My current two favorites are the BenQ W1080ST and the Optoma GT1080. The BenQ has variable lens zoom and lens shift ability while the Optoma has a bit shorter throw. Both are good 1080p short throws though.

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?

Cybereality just posted that his GTX980 has 2x1 option, so at the very least it's available on the GTX980. It's pretty much guaranteed to be available on the GTX970 if it's on the GTX980.

Re: Does Nvidia SLI require 3 projectors?

Sure, no problem. I only do on-site stuff 2 or 3 times a year, but as long as my transportation, room and food are accounted for I'm ok with doing it. Currently also have someone from Toronto that wants me to do an install in a few weeks. It gives me an excuse to visit someplace new a few times a ...

Slightly OT but doesn't hurt to ask, anyone know if the current Nvidia 3D Vision Surround works in portrait mode? A few years ago I knew it didn't. With the changes in Nvidia Surround I thought ...
