its not causing odd graphics, the game isnt starting at all now.

nope, it still doesnt work :(

im using 84.20 beta ill try 84.21 and see if it makes a differance

its the US black version, v1.3. when i say it goes away, i mean, the splash screen shows, then disappears and nothing else happens, still at the desktop.

my system specs are:

AMD Opteron 148 @ 2.8ghz
DFI SLI-DR
2GB Team Ram
7800gtx
Benq FP202W

i cant get nfsmw to work at 1680x1050, ive tried using the minidisc, i see the nfsmw logo for about 2 seconds and then it goes away and does nothing, and ive tried the 2 suggested no-dvd patches and neither of them work, even normally :(
