Widescreen works fine.
But, it makes my E6600+7950GX2 cry (at 19x12). If you get the game, pay attention to the options pertaining to shadows as they are the main performance killers.
Graphics aren't as good as Oblivion, but it hits my computer even harder.

It's not really bothered me too much (but I've only owned IPS panels). I guess even with those they get weird if you move too far off center, but nothing like the other panel types I've seen.
