Re: Mass Effect 2
I didn't play the first, what looked like consoly gameplay and the reports of quirky controls kept me away. But I'm enjoying Mass Effect 2. Re: Dragon Age: Origins
I can't make out the character portrait health-bar half of the time, certainly not while fighting. The overlay when pressing Tab is clear, but sometimes the game decides that my main character shouldn't get a bar there at all.

Re: Steam : what do you think about it? any quirks ?
Here's a quirk. The Steam client accesses all harddrives in a system when it starts up, and sometimes on updates as well. Call of Duty 4. Yay.

Bioshock: True VERT+ Tallscreen
You know, with that much arm action going on it almost looks like it's actually 3D. They could market it as 3D 2.0.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion : Detailed report
This worked last I played Oblivion.
Don't edit the .INI, but make it write protected.
Start the game, bring up the console and enter the following long line:
SetINI "fDefaultFOV:Display" 90

Bioshock: artistic vision - or not as the case may be
Another case of what can happen when you primarily develop for consoles..., sigh. O wait, maybe if I put my monitor two feet further back it will feel better! Yay!
I'll just have a look at that donation thing.
