First of all, Cheshire's problem: Im not actually sure if Powerstrip can give you scaling options but the Omega Drivers might give you scaling options, by way of my previous instructions. Now for EyeLikeP00's problem. When I spoke about the video adjust being only for non computer inputs I was talki...

There should be an easier way.

Right click in you desktop>Properties>Settings>Advanced>Displays>Click on the Panel Display and make sure "Scale Images to Panel Size" is UNCHECKED. (I think I got the steps right)

If that doesnt work, Use Powerstrip.

Here's my problem: Diablo II: LOD runs at 800x600, and my monitor runs at 1680x1050. The Centerd output option and 1;1 option work great BUT the game is so small centered and too large to look good with 1:1. Is there any way to trick my graphics car (geforce 66000 into thinking D2 is being run at 10...

Yes, the 7800 series is the best nvidia makes. And it supports 1:1. Games that force resolutions, like Diablo II or Warcraft III, will strech to fill the screen but maintain their aspect ratio in the fixed aspect ratio scaling mode. If you want to maintain the true resolution their is the centered o...

Yes, I agreee with BongoTrumman. Newer cards such as the 9800 are rarely made in the PCI catagory. AGP and PCI-E are far more common. If you really do have no PCI-E or AGP slots on your motherboard, you might have to seriously consider getting a new one. But, If you do have an AGP or PCI-E slot the ...

The 1:1 option with an nvidia card is not dependant on your monitor as far as I've seen. ATI CCC only supports video scaling on their high-end cards. I had this exact problem. I too have a FPD2185; it supports all types of video scaling but I doubt your ATI card has the option. Nvidia cards offer fi...

I have a problem with both parts of your solution. When I bring up the OSD I cannot select the Video Adjust menu because its grayed out. It wouldnt be because I'm useing a VGA cable? AND When I open the CCC which I assume is this window... ...I dont have a digital panel properties option. This seems...

Well ive looked at those threads but neither helped. The Controlled Variable Stretch Technique leaves a very strange pattern on my monitor and the work area is not centered. Changing the resolution does nothing because it will still stretch the game.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I tried the CCC but I did not even have a display tab for me. I switched to Omega but they didnt give the maintain aspect ratio option either.

Thanks for the help.

I Recently bought a 21 inch Gateway HD monitor. When I try to play Warcraft III it streches the picture ant I find it annoying. I have an ATI X300 and the latest Omega drivers. Is there is a way to keep games in there native resolution and have black boxes on the sides? I know this is redundant, sor...
