I forgot that there are LOTS of good older games that would probably work well on these gpus.

Aren't the gpus in these netbooks really weak? Seems like they are selling well so maybe in a year or two when they start getting decent powered gpus...
But who knows what will be the common resolution on them then?

Files ? You don't have go go editing the files, just type the commands in the command console (` button).
is that something you do once only or do you have to do it every time?

well, it seems to work even on Punkbuster servers.
Like I was saying, I haven't seen the fov line in teh cfg file and I haven't added one yet. Since it works and looks fine I think I shall leave it alone

Try this.
Its an cfg editor for Enemy territory that will create an autoexec.cfg.
After it has change the res/add lines to whatever u want in the autoexec.cfg.
