can't get this to work... i wonder if this trick still works (?).

No need for a modified .exe, just put these three lines in your autoexec.cfg

set r_customheight "1050"
set r_customwidth "1680"
set r_mode "-1"

...using your own resolution, and also this line should be added there as well...

set fov "??"

...using this guide to set the ...

it didn't work for me initially either. but i uninstalled and reinstalled the game, applied that fix he showed you, then update the game with the latest patches and then it worked for me.

finally got it working by reinstalling the game, then applying the fix before i upgraded to the latest patches.

after i did the fix, then i upgraded to the latest version. now everything works perfect. i have true widescreen and the latest patch applied. awesome.

i've tried and tried and tried to get this to work, and it simply will not work.

has EA made it to where it no longer works with the latest patches?

someone help... i'm desperate here.
