Millennium Soldier: Expendable is a 1999 shoot 'em up with a top-down perspective, basically a 3D version of Contra. You need to get to the end of the levels and exterminate wave of aliens before you run out of time or lives.

Native widescreen support available in the launcher menu.
The projected shadows for the characters and objects are usually not displayed at all in widescreen. Very rarely the shadow displays, but it is cut off. The HUD streteches, along with the menus and loading screens. The game has FMVs for the intro and end of the game and in-game cutscenes.
The game features widescreen FMVs, but their size and aspect remains fixed, so that means they should be windowboxed. As some of you might suspect, the video format for them is bink (.bik).
