Lords Of The Fallen 2014 Manual PLP Instructions

Submitted by imusrt on 21 November, 2015 - 10:34

Game looks great. Hor+, FOV * & HUD are proper (HUD's element-positions span full width). Rendered cutscenes are full hor+, FMVs (rare) are pillarboxed & letterboxed. All text proper, main menu pillarboxed.

(boss: First Warden)

(boss: Worshiper. Post Processing was disabled here)

Borderless (easiest):
1. In-game select your center's resolution & Windowed Default (not Windowed Borderless), apply.
2. ShiftWindow (+ border = borderless).

OR Native Borderless:
1. In-game select Fullscreen, your center's resolution, settings how you want. Apply, quit.
2. Make read-only: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Lords of the Fallen\settings.ini.
3. In-game select Windowed Borderless, apply (on every restart). Esc twice to main menu.
4. ShiftWindow (fullscreen resolution & to position), Trigger twice.

NOTES:
1. These spread with vert- background art:
A. Loading screens, their foreground elements proper.
B. Character menu, its elements on center & proper, except small-character-model stretched in Inventory.
2. Post Processing (PP) Oddity: Enabling PP often causes three color layers (RGB) to be bit offset on side-screens, amount varying by scenario. Usually minimal & not noticed, occasionally sides look bit psychadelic. Looks fine for peripheral vision using PLP-type aspect; higher aspect will look worse). Disabling PP fixes it, but less impressive effects.
3. * FOV's usual amplification on side-screens creeps into center-screen's sides (abnormal & not considered 100% proper, but very close & looks good).
4. If keyboard sensitivity is maxed & still too low, edit settings.ini controller_sensitivity = 10 (adjust as needed, limit unknown).
