Battlefield 4 is a multi-player focused first person shooter, if you've played any of the prior Battlefield games then you will know what to expect from the multi-player, and as seems to be the way of things the campaign is more of a token gesture. It's multi-monitor support appears to be spot on, the game is horizontal plus, has a FoV slider, the menus and UI auto centred for me, as have the pre-rendered cutscreens. There are some frame rate issue currently, but these should largely be fixed with future patches and driver updates.

The video itself is part analysis, part walkthough and part waffle, feel free to like or dislike my video and comment are always welcome too. The audio quality of this video might be a little hit and miss, you have my apologies, I was trying a slightly different audio setup which seemed OK in testing but hasn't turned out too well.

While this video can be watched on any screen it has been encoded to look best on a multi-monitor system, so if your running such a system, then select original quality from the drop down box and watch in fullscreen.

New to eyefinity and seeking guidance from the Pros here. I am having difficulty playing BF4 on eyefinity. BF4 runs well on single 1080p monitor but crashes with a Directx error when trying to play eyefinity. Using 13.11 beta 7 drivers. I have already tried to re-install Directx from BF4 install. I have the retail version. i7 3930k, 7970 crossfire, 32 GB ram, Win 7 64 bit. Also, I might add that I have tried Batman Arkham Origins, BF3, Crysis 3, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider and all these games work fine when using eyefinity. I am at a lost here and seeking help. Thanks.

I was having the same issue with a similar setup. The new 13.11 Beta 8 drivers have fixed the DirectX issue for me. The game still occasionally crashes but not very often.

I was under the impression that 13.11 beta 8 drivers was for Win 8/Win 8.1 I am running Win 7 64. I think I am going to try to re-install 13.11 beta 7 drivers again. If that doesn't work. I will install the 13.11 beta 8 drivers. I have put more time on Batman Arkham Origins hoping that new drivers would come out and/or another BF4 update.

it was recommended that you run the dxsetup that is included in your bf4 folder, it apparently has additional properties to the generic one

k, anyone running bf4 in triple screen without stuttering and framerate drops.
It works flawlessly in single screen. but is a stuttering mess when in triple screen with framerates going from 60 to 40. even lowering the res to 4000x768 makes no difference which seems to indicate that it's not a lack of gpu power and i'm running 3 680's which can run bf3 on ultra easily.

i even installed windows 8.1 and it's even worse than win 7, and already tried unparking my cpu cores, hyper threading etc without any results.

I play MP with 3 screens 5780x1080. Mostly its fine to play now. I havent reinstalled windows in over two years and my CPU is old so I expect glitches every now and then :)
BF4 is very very poorly optimised so i would think that would be the issue. Running SLI wouldnt help.
I have heard bf4 only uses 4 cores so maybe disable HT if thats on?

I disagree that it is very poorly optimized. This is one of the best looking games I've ever seen, I fully didn't expect to be able to run it in surround. But contrary to my expectations I was able to, 7680x1440 on Ultra, 30fps with two SC 4GB GTX670's. Even got as high as 45fps indoors at times. Colour me impressed. Of course I only played the single player with the first two updates installed, I don't know if the MP runs differently, I don't have time for MP.

Edit: I should also say that although I pre-emptively did this before starting the game, apparently if you use nvinspector to edit the BF4 profile, change the first setting in the undefined category from 0x00000003 to 0x00000000 and apply changes, it helps with stuttering, and also gets rid of an SLI issue flickering smoke/dust.
