I wanted to add images of the main menus of Half-Life (Steam version) and Portal, but whenever I try to click save, I get the message "Referencing to the file used in the Eyefinity / Surround Screenshot field is not allowed."

All I'm trying to do is add a 4:3 screenshot, a 16:10 screenshot, and a 16:9 screenshot. I don't have any superwide monitors, so I can't take any screenshots larger or wider than that. What am I doing wrong?

Image

Here are my Half-Life screenshots:
4:3 fullscreen pillarbox: http://i.imgur.com/QOo4HTT.jpg
4:3 windowed: http://i.imgur.com/cnlTjzU.jpg
16:9, windowed or fullscreen: http://i.imgur.com/wtWE4ek.jpg
Hazard Course 16:9 (missing from page): Image

My Portal menu screenshots:
4:3 - http://imgur.com/Fli9Kfv
16:10 - http://imgur.com/NsfF32V
16:9 - http://imgur.com/PutoI2t

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mhmmmmm strange.
I just added the 4:3 Menue Screenshot for Portal.
Works fine for me.
Anyone else can confirm this not working correctly?

What exactly are you doing to upload a screenshot?
Click Edit Detailed Report.
Select Screenshot on PC
Upload Screenshot
enter reason for edit
Save

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what I did. Maybe it's a problem with my account. Too many new image uploads for a new user?

I'd like to add to this. I tried to add 4K screenshots to Republic Commando and got the same message of "Referencing to the file used in the Eyefinity / Surround Screenshot field is not allowed."

Does the same thing happen if you try it with a different browser?

Sigh ... yep, I just tested it. It happened with Chrome first and now with Firefox. Neither are beta versions or nightly versions. I use no form of adblockers or anything of the sort.

My gameplay shot is: Image

My menu shot is: Image

My log message is: Added 4K menu screenshot and gameplay screenshot.

I appreciate the help; it's just frustrating that the issue is happening. I get some sort of bizarre pleasure in taking photos out of 4K games, so I'd like to upload all I can to the site, as there seems to be a lack in the games I've looked at. :ugeek:

EDIT: Same thing just happened with Flatout as well.

.... Alright, I've managed to get around this by posting the reason why I was changing the page in Spanish instead of English ... I guess the file name used in the eyefinity was ... somehow in my text. I honestly have no idea, but at least it's working now.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm wrong. When I clicked on edit, it kept adding a blank, non-existant photo into the eyefinity section of the in-game screenshots. I never told it to do this and it kept adding it in randomly. If you get this error, simply go to the eyefinity spot in the in-game screenshots and remove the false picture that's there.

Just to say I have taken notice of this issue, I do not experience it myself, but shall look into it soon (bit tied up time wise right now, but will investigate very soon).

I'm encountering the same error when attempting to edit the report for Proteus I created.
