I'm looking to buy 3 monitors and play games on them. I'd like to play 1080p at 60+ FPS, or damn near close it. What GPU would be best for me? Price is not a factor. I was thinking of a single GTX 980ti. Would that be good enough? I want to play modded Skyrim with an Ultra ENB, Modded Fallout 4 with an ENB, modded Minecraft with 200+ mods installed. Thanks in Advance.

What card really depends. Be sure it has the appropriate ports needed (for example: when I was choosing a card, I already had 3 monitors that used display port, so I needed to make sure my card(s) had 3 display ports available on the same card). This narrowed down my selection as some of the same card but via a different brand had or did not have the required display ports).

Next, having 200+ minecraft mods is highly unlikely to impact your choice of a video card.

Finally, assuming you mean you plan on having 3 1080 monitors would put you at 5760x1080. A single GTX 980ti is unlikely to give you a solid 60+ fps. A 980ti will preform slightly lower than 2 970s in SLI which I currently run. While I frequently get my desired 60+ there are of course some titles where that'll simply not happen.

I play at 7680x1440 with a single 980ti at 1533/7800. Yes I do have to turn some settings down. Usually a mix of High, very high, Ultra depending on game. I never have needed much for AA so I gain a lot of fps by keeping that lower than most people would.

I had two 970's on sli before I went single card and even though the fps is lower by 5% the smoothness is much better on a single GPU. No sli profile issues, poor scaling, or no game support. Also, if you do some searching on the net it looks like for DX12 they are putting SLI compatibilities on the shoulders of the game developer and not the graphics card maker and their drivers. Many people wonder if game developers will work that hard for 3-5% of the gamer population. Lots of stories on the net about this.

BTW- I have had SLI or Crossfire since the 7950gx2 days. The last single gpu that i have had is a 8800gtx. I had 260gtx- 280gtx- 5970 - 7950's-970's all in crossfire or sli and finally this 980ti single. From now on I will always get the best single card I can buy. :triplewide:

Do you need a card now or could you wait 3-6months? 14nm is knocking on the doors :)

P.S 2x 290 CF does not give you 60fps in 5760x1080 and very high.

Yeah if you can stand to wait a bit longer before buying, you could have quite the spicy set up.

I got my pre order in for the 1080ti and I play at 5760x1080 so I'll let you know which games get 60fps+ when I get it. ;)
