Here is a 3840x1024 screen shot - low quality (high quality is 1mb)

Let me know if anyone wants more. Command line options are: -xres 3840 -yres 1024 (read the readme.txt for help)

Hi guys,

How did you fix the FOV problem? I have the demo installed here and when I switch to 3840 from 1280 the FOV is way too zoomed in?

I don't know it for sure, but wasn't that native the fov?

@sdtqbert3: I have saw your video, but i thought that it had messed up aspect ratio, but it could be me to see that.

@RichieG - I used the default settings and just changed the shortcut with "-xres 3840 -yres 1024". I did wish the view was more zoomed out - so I'll have to compare that with a normal view. I'll let ya know what I find later tonight.

Well something is very wrong. It seems that they are scaling or doing something when set at 3840x1024.

I had my previous screen shots at 3840x1024. So I went back into the game and set it for 1280x1024. This should give the same view somewhat being that it's the same height.

Compare the screen shot. I dropped it into photoshop to overlap the 1280x1024 over the 3840x1024 screen. Both are zoomed all the way out. Compare the MCV.

(click for full size... like the previous)

Hopefully they will fix this. I'm still playing around with settings...

Hi b0n3z,

Ok so we are seeing the same thing :-)

What they are doing to keep the aspect ratio is they are rendering in 3840x1024 but cutting the top and bottom off of the image to max it fill the the aspect. The engine they are using doesn't properly know how to handle the large resolution and the 3.75:1 aspect

@RichieG - Yep we are seeing the same thing. This really sucks as I was looking foward to this game. It seems this is a common problem with EA. Battle for Middle Earth 2 has the same issues.

If I find anything out - I'll let ya know. I really want this to work.

Update: it looks like others are having the same problem. The top and bottom is getting chopped off. Look at what The_cranky_hermit posted.

Here is one of the screens (color is 4:3 and black & white is 3:1):
