Dead to Rights is an old game similar to Max Payne. There is a widescreen hack but using it is a bit annoying. It must be used when the game is running and on the numeric keypad press + and - to set the right aspect ratio.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to keep the picture's proportions permanently so when you turn on the game you have to repeat the action with the settings.
I wonder if someone can make a new better hack that will be suitable for 16:9.

Old hack download from PC Gaming Wiki:

Thank you works well but I would like to ask if there is a possibility to increase the FOV?
It looks like it (but I can be wrong) that the standard is 65.
Mostly I have a problem getting used to a low FOV in widescreen.

If in the game folders is a file eg ''cfg'' which can be edited by a text editor and there is an option to increase the FOV I usually do this.

Open settings.cfg in the game folder
To increase the FOV add to [display] section the following strings:
hfov=25
vfov=25
0-99 - possible values for hfov and vfov.

Thanks, but I'm a bit of trouble to change to change the FOV effect. I'm not sure how to properly add the string to [display] so that the FOV change works. I tested different combinations and no effect.
Only once the game reset to 640x480 and notepad++ displayed information:

The file has been modified by another program. Do you want to reloaded?

My combinations are:

[display]
hfov=99
vfov=99

[display hfov=99 vfov=99]

[display] hfov=99 vfov=99

I have also in settings.cfg similar two sections with [display]

I have the same FOV all the time when I try to change.

I have a bigger problem with FOV since I changed my old 1920x1200 monitor to 4K.
That's why I'm looking for a way to change this parameter in games.

I'm looking for FOV in Death to Rights similar wchich charman did in Psi-ops.

Maybe there is some way to edit the DTRPC.exe file in hex editor?

Make "settings.cfg" with these settings:
Quote:
[language]
language=English
[audio]
eax=0
[display]
detail=2
windowed=0
wdbformat=75
wmstype=8
wmsquality=0
wvptype=0
wpresent=0
wwidth=0
wheight=0
fwidth=2560
fheight=1440
frefrate=60
fformat=22
fdbformat=75
fmstype=8
fmsquality=0
fvptype=0
fpresent=0
hfov=50
vfov=50

I don't know why but I had to reinstall the game and with your settings FOV just works.
Thank you again and please, think about to fix FOV in game Reservoir Dogs.
