Read Full Detailed Report - ELEX

Advanced in technology, civilized and with a population of billions, Magalan was a planet looking to the future. Then the meteor hit.

Those who survived are now trapped in a battle to survive, a struggle to decide the fate of a planet. At the center of this fight is the element “Elex”. A precious, limited resource that arrived with the meteor, Elex can power machines, open the door to magic, or re-sculpt life into new, different forms.

But which of these choices should be the future of Magalan? Can technology or magic save this world? Or will this new power destroy all those left alive amongst the ruins?

Playing Elex in UltraWide and the Adjutor's picture viewer has become useless ? Change the resolution to any "narrow" one (e.g 16:10 or 5:4) and open pictures in the Adjutor until they return into view. Or quit the game.

Technicalities follow:

A glitch affecting image documents in the Adjutor pushes them off the screen if you watch too many in a single session. It's not exactly a widescreen issue, but it's definitely aspect ratio-related and a problem for UltraWide and beyond.

In any non-16:9 resolutions, each image you open (can be the same image viewed multiple times) will be displayed further from the center of the screen than the last:
- below 16:9 each new picture will open slightly more to the left than the previous one.

Image
16:10 - seventh image viewed

- over 16:9 each new picture will open to the right.

Image
Ultrawide - third image is already cut-off

The more the AR deviates from 16:9 the worse the issue gets.

Image
TripleWide - second image is the last that won't be offscreen

After perusing a few photos, map pieces etc. all images will eventually open out of view. You need to shut the game completely and restart for the "viewing area" to reset.

Funnily enough in 16:9 the pictures don't so much open "always in the center" as "always in whatever spot they are right now". So while playing in 16:10 or 21:9 causes viewed pictures to "travel" laterally, switching to 16:9 won't cancel the movement, only stop it in its tracks.
