Hi, I'm the author of the Custom Resolution Tool, and I'm honored to see my small tool mentioned on WSGF. This site has been my first stop for all my widescreen needs for years now, so seeing something I created mentioned on this site is truly amazing for me.

I have a little comment on the DR though. You mention the game runs in Vert- after patching, but all my test showed that after patching in a custom res + custom AR + custom FOV, the game actually runs in Hor+. Depending on the chosen FOV there's even a Vert+ effect (see screens on my own site: http://www.byeclan.be/dredd_vs_death/).

Hello RiptoR,

Your tool works really well and is simple to use. Perfect for 1920x1080 :onethumb:

I have come across an anomaly for surround resolutions though. It seems the hud + menus do not scale properly.
Also the engine cutscenes seem to be Vert-. I'm using 5040x1050 Fov 130 Aspect Ratio 4.8.

Visuals / FOV are fine at such resolutions.

The scaling prolem is hard to ignore because status messages / compass directions are either huge or text overlays itself.

I don't suppose it would be easy to fix and I'm grateful for the widescreen fix, but I thought i would point it out just in case it could be altered without too much work.

Maybe the answer lies in those hud.asr etc files in the graphics section...I've had a look but they are somewhat confusing.

Thanks for the fix!

Yeah, the hud scaling is something I'm looking into atm. Haven't come across a possible fix yet though, but I remain hopefull :)
