==Supported resolutions==

Which resolutions are supported natively, and which require editing a file?

==Singleplayer anomalies==

Are subtitles always for spoken words? That is, any time subtitles get cut off, can you at least hear what's being said?

Yes, subtitles are always for spoken words. I listed the glitch in 16:9 as an "anomaly" but as long as you're not deaf it doesn't actually hinder gameplay or comprehension.

By default the launcher's resolution list only includes 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x900 and 1600x1200 plus any custom resolutions within that array.

So, does that mean you need to edit videoconfig.dat to use any widescreen resolutions (other than 1600x900) at all?

Well, not quite.
Sorry, my last reply only added to the confusion. I should've written "By default the launcher's resolution list only includes 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x900 and 1600x1200 plus any custom resolutions within that array on my 1680x1050 and 2560x1600 monitors."

The 1600x900 bit is odd but I can select this res in the never-edited game on my secondary PC with no custom res's - then again, the monitor is a ws 19" panel with a native res of 1680x1050 which can however output a squashed but real 1600x1200, so it might be a monitor-related oddity.

If I'm not mistaken you only have to manually edit videoconfig.dat to use a ws resolution on a monitor with a native res bigger than 1600x1200. I think users with say a 1440x900 panel won't have to, since their native res will already be available. All native ws res lower than 1600x1200 should be available from the start, since the game even detects custom res's. Of course it'd be better to actually test this on such a monitor...

I can't think of a better way to sum it up than "Native, but max resolution is 1600x1200." The detailed Method is really just a pointer to the right config file as a starting point for further research on that res cap (everything's possible on the WSGF, right?), but maybe I should just get rid of that part of the DR :?

Ok.

Grade: B
CCE: 100%

Lack of 1680x1050 and upwards and cropped subtitles are blemishes.

Ibrin, tiny typo in the News : the game fails to run above 1600x1200, i.e if the vertical and/or horizontal pixel count is beyond these values - so even 1680x1050 is a no-go. ;)

Has anyone gotten this game to work at 1680x1050 (16:10) yet?
