No graphical corruption that I can see, but it should have enough mb for all it wants, it's just that any over 128mb is hdd swapping. So it's working, at slideshow speeds, slow enough that I need to hold keys for em to register.

I've tried it at 1920x1080, don't have 1920x1200 but it might be cuz it have 2 displays on the laptop, one of which maxes at 1080p.

Uh... Mesh? TurboCache caches in the system RAM, not the HDD... caching in the system RAM is bad enough when it comes to bandwidth, but caching to the HDD? That'd murder performance completely.

Eh, my bad, never bothered to look into the tech. as I consider it a crutch that shouldnt exist :)

Thanks for the correction.

In any case, I think it's mostly slow cuz of the AA that I force in drivers.

There is now a 1.1 patch out.

Clearly it's not need for widescreen issues but it DOES have a large bugfix list. Including proper/better wheel/gamepad support.

I'm a bit confused. Can someone answer the following question with a yay or nay here?

Does GRID support 1920x1080 and 1920x1200 natively and flawlessly if you have the system for it?

On systems with less then '270' or 256mb of ram it'll max out with any res. you can display up to a width of 1280.

If your system has more than 256mb native vram and can display 1080p it should let you use it.

My edit above was to force it to work on this 128mb 8600gt mobile since I didn't want to reinstall my main rig.

I've used it in both 1920x1080 and 1920x1200 with it, it's almost playable too (with everything off/low).

Definitely not my kind of game though, can't even make 1 turn without spinning out, crashing or both.

so in short:
yay.

Looks like Mesh confirmed both 1920x1080 and 1920x1200. That would make it certified.

I can also confirm native 1920x1200 support. I had it automatically on my desktop. Also had 1920x1080 automatically on my HTPC. I swear I didn't even have to select the resolutions - it just loaded in them first time.

Need a G25! 8)

And Mesh, I share your opinion of TurboCache. My one experience of it was awful. And my experience of Hypermemory or whatever ATi's equivalent was just as bad. Shared memory = fail. ;)

Pretty much yes, unfortunately, turbocache, hypermemory and agp/pci express memory sharing type 'features' won't go away any time soon. They're an easy way for makers to add bullet points to their box without actually doing much in adding a real feature.

Kind of like that swap file in windows too, which is what I was thinking about when I said turbocache was to hdd :).
