I'm not sure if this is a widescreen issue or not, but there is an known issue with the inventory system in this game. I have it running on two computers, one with a WS and one without. The widescreen has no images of the items in the inventory, just an empty box. The standard screen (though an older system with and older video card) has the inventory images.

Anyone know anything about this? It makes the game very frustrating.

I have not really progressed in the game to test this.

Try and load up the game in a non-widescreen resolution and see if the icons are still missing.

It appears the problem is not related to widescreen.

Good to see a DR for this Awesome game, I Don't have it installed atm but I seem to recall a way to adjust the fov to correct for the Vert- in one of the ini files (I may be thinking of Gothic 2) I know that probably isn't very helpful but I thought I would put it out there. edit: misread the FMV Section, hope nobody saw that.

I have updated the entry to cover Gothic ½ — SystemPack (ENG/DEU). This makes all resolutions Hor+ and fixes various related issues. Unfortunately it doesn't do anything for multi-monitor interface positioning (inventory/trading are at the far edges).
