It's a great hack but I simply cannot use it because it takes up so many of the keys on the Number Keypad.

I'm a dedicated Number Keypad + Mouse gamer, and even though I've got a five button mouse, there are so many necessary keys in Bioshock that I cannot give these over to the hack.

I'd love a newer version of the hack which doesn't use the Number Keypad keys as, when playing Bioshock with the hack on, I am forever turning it on and off and decreasing and increasing the aspect ratio width (as I use these keys for first aid, use/action, map/guide and hacking objects).

Shame, but there you go. It will have to be the zoomed in version of 4:3 for me then (I'm nearly at the end of the game anyway, but I had considered that discovering the hack recently would certainly increase the games replayability).

Just to provide another solution for the FOV.

I added BioShock support to my Widescreen Fixer utility. It autodetects DX10/DX9. All you have to do is select BioShock, your aspect ratio, and then use semi-colon to enable it in game.

does it fix my issues?
thx..

So the joystick mode uses a different FOV?

If you move "closer" with it enabled try increasing the FOV value.

If you know how much it changes you can calculate a proper value on this site. Or you can fiddle with it until it feels right.

Not the most scientific method but unless someone knows the exact joystick fov value that is the best you are going to get.

EDIT - I am at a workplace and your screens look dark as hell. I cannot see any details sans the floor sign. 8)

Other than the HUD change, and the different position he's looking at, I don't see any differences between the images?

oops here some new screenies..

seeing the pic again with acdsee, i think differents between keyboard mode and gamepad mode with 0.85 fov fix is the hud is place close to center and larger size. I there anyway to make it smaller?

Thanks for helping me out guys,
