The Widescreen Solution is VERT- but it is easily managed to be HOR+

Go to: Cold.Fear\Conf\Heroes.cfg and change the Values to your des.FOV

CAMERA_AIM_FOV =140
CAMERA_CONSTRAINT_FOV =180

I updated the DR. Too bad, the HUD still behaves like it does in Dawn of War 1. So playing at 2160p is not easy, because HUD is tiny. I tested the DEMO version and it looks like 2160p and more is working correctly, everything is scaled proportionally. I also tested 21:9, but DEMO version doesn't have FOV option so it behaves as vert-, Oh, and the HUD is centered. So i guess, the retail version works without a problem. 1080p http:/...

I tried to run this game in UHD. And the only thing i noticed is the small camcorder HUD. Which actually gives you only one usable info - how many batteries you have. It's still perfectly visible, so It doesn't destroy the gameplay "experience". As if the indicator of "how many batter...

looks like there is a problem with texture streaming, The game must have been designed strictly with 1920x1080 in mind at max. Even at 2560x1440 degradation is visible. But at 5760x1080, and especially at 3840x2160 it's really obvious 1920x1080 http://t1.someimage.com/OJH3vTI.jpg 3840x2160 http://t1...

I know it's late. But i think i found a solution for MM setup with refresh rate below 60Hz. I don't have MM setup, but i can force my monitor to display 5760x1080 at 22Hz. It's just for testing... As you know Dead Space does not allow to set resolution with low refresh rates. But i managed to fool t...

I played the demo, and it looks like this game have some problems at 3840x2160 with in-game cutscenes. Also, the HUD and text is tiny, but other than that it seems to be fine. Nope. Screenshots are made before its resized and sent to the screen. So you can take screenshots at rendered resolution, before downscaling? I tried nvidia inspector with SSAA feature, but screenshots WITH FRAPS were downscaled. Is that tool different from Inspector? Can you say something more abo...

Or if you're using AMD cards an dx 11 games. This: http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24143 Wait, but it doesn't allow to take screenshots in native resolution, does it? I mean, you have 1920x1080 lcd, and you force the game to render at 3840x2160 with this tool, and If you will take a scre...

In other words, did you try that downsampling thing on your monitor? I know it's not too practical on low DPI, 1080p display, because you will not see as clear as on native UHD monitor. But it's good for testing, preview, screenshot taking, or maybe even playing games that don't support any AA whats...

Alrighty, i updated the Detailed Report. FMVs, actually only 4 of them for the entire game (intro, vision, and outro+loop) are vert- only at 21:9 and multi-mon. Took some screenshots on Win XP DX9 mode. Surprisingly it looks like the game is running faster in dx10 on Win 8. First of all, it has disa...

Hell yeah! I found a solution for tripple monitor setup at native resolution. In other words, a solution for problem of not being able to set anything higher than 4095 horizontally. Out of blue i came up with this idea, why not just try dx9res10, a .dll and .cfg file allowing you to set any resoluti...

I dont have surround setup, but you need to remember that 3840x2160 is 4 x 1920x1080. So it's not even close to "triple-wide" but more like "quadruple" You can always simulate the behavior of your system at 3840x2160 by creating custom resolution in nvidia drivers. Run the fps be...

i updated the report and added high resolution screenshots, so they all match. Widescreen support is simply great in this title. BTW: I played a bit with this game, and compared 1080 to 4kUHD and 8kUHD. 4k and 8k is of course simulated. (i don't have such display :P ) Why i did this? Because AA does...

I updated the report, edit. The only flaws i found in 16:10 and 4:3 are the loading screens plus "choosing-your-outfit-menu" they are squished. The hud of the camera in in-game cutscenes, and wrong AR in laptop's video in ingame cut-scenes. http://thumbnails101.imagebam.com/29273/f13ee4292...
