Hello, I was told by a friend that he has had a bunch of his friends use Eyefinity and that their AMD cards burnt out because of it. Is this a common thing ? Or are they simply part of the group of individuals who forget to clean out their computers and let the dust fry their parts? that kind of BS...

if the GTX 560 supports tri-SLI or Quad-SLI then might be cheaper to pick up another GTX 560 to improve the performance at lower cost, rather than spend minimum $1000 on a GTX 690 or HD7990 you actually pay more if you got double GTX 680 or double HD7970 it's at $169 on newegg so $338 if you get two...

AFAIK there's no painless way to switch from single monitor view, to Surround View and back so every time i get the darn Surround View working properly, i play to our maker for it not to lose the settings as it does every time we upgrade to a new version of the driver sometimes it gets so bad, i'm f...

I've been a long time fan of the Red Team - ATI/AMD for the past 20 years

but i've yet to see any AMD HD3D game or movie tittles out there

much less in Eyefinity setup.

one of the main reason which forced me to switch to its nemesis the Green Team

re: all 3 on mirrors OK, you guys might consider this cheating... but since we are going through the trouble of putting the monitors in a BOX it wouldn't hurt to go the extra mile and remove the casing from the monitors (bezels) depending on the LCD/LED panel quality you might have almost no border ...

in actual usage it work either way you can either go for the large 1200, and have the smaller monitors miss the virtual chunk that you can't see because it's beyond the 1080 to 1200 area or you can go small and force the middle monitor to work like the side monitors at 1080, which then the graphic w...

I was running that for a while you do get to see a little bit more than standard single screen, but not as much as you can see in Eyefinity 3 or Surround View at the moment there's no much advantage in using all 6 monitors in games, until more games takes advantage of that (if ever  ) so, i de...

a minor correction or addition to what Delphium said. on ATI / AMD video cards if you want more than 3 monitor / TV / projectors / etc to work simultaneously in the same card then all extras monitors will need to be connected to a DirectPort to Active Display Adapter, that then you can covert to DVI...

wouldn't I'd be better if all 3 monitors were mirrored, then you wont have the trouble of matching colour & brightness as all 3 of them will be going through the same "filter" I like the idea, it'll help on the immersion in games, by blocking out the ambient lights with the BOX feel of...

the bezel is not an issue people seems to forget they have a nose bridge right in front of their eyes.... now apply that to the bezel on the other hand, more and more monitors & HDTVs are coming out with ultra thin bezels 1/2" give or take a few for those really anal about the bezel they ca...

actually, it does work with ATI / AMD Eyefinity you can have you center monitor on 1200 while the 2 sides on 1080 AMD's Eyefinity is a lot more flexible than nVidia Surround View it also lets you mix different types of monitors / TV / projector size & models. I had a lot more choices for display...

the fish eye effect only happens when your monitors are lay flat in front of you if your 3 monitors wraps around you, then you are immersed and there's no fish eye effect feeling, as things will look naturally from the corner of your eyes it gets even better when you enable 3D surround view, it's li...

here's the beef both ATI / AMD and nVidia handles Eyefinity 3 and Surround View the same way. when enabled all 3 screens becomes 1 giant screen. here's the twist if you have a 4th monitor, then you can plug it into any of the extra DVI / DP ports in your AMD or nVidia card, and they will act as the ...
