Hello.

I'm using a Sapphire 2gb 5870 card with a TH2GO Analog version, because my three 22'' only have VGA.

I was wondering whether and if so, how much performance I'm losing with this ombination. Does the data get slowed down somehow when it goes through the TH2GO device? Would I have better FPS in games if there would be no Adaptor.

I'm playing on 3840x1024 btw. I know its not the right aspect ratio but I like it like that over a lower but correct aspect ratio.

I'm considering upgrading my monitors to higher res and hdmi, but I'm a little bit of display size whore, and want to have as big a monitor as it can be a big jump forward from my old monitors. And I want to catch the 3D bandwagon. I'm waiting for certified 3D nvidia Surround Vision 32'' monitors.

If there is any performance hit it must be so minimal as to be in the irrelevant category. Perhaps a few microseconds are lost simply because the video signal goes through another device between video card and monitor, but I don't see how a TH2Go could actually limit FPS since it doesn't touch the video stream until the GPU has already done its work. Refresh rate is limited by connection bandwidth, yes, but otherwise I wouldn't worry. What I do know is that I get terrific performance from my 5850/5870 using my TH2Go @ 3840x1024. Laughing out loud
