I've created a custom HudLayout.res file that centers the HUD for Counter-Strike: Source!

I've uploaded my HUD to HL2Files! You can get it here.

Heres some images and info from the zip file I uploaded:

Who its for: This mod file is intended for TripleHead2Go users running a 3840x1024 resolution only! I say again, unless you are running 3840x1024 resolution, this is NOT FOR YOU.

What it does: I have modified the default hud at TripleHead resolutions to stay on the center screen; where the default HUD had almost everything pushed to the sides. This file only changes the positions of certain HUD elements, these elements are:
Health stat
Armor stat
Ammo
Money
Death notices
Radar
Hostage rescue zone icon
Buy zone icon
Bomb possesion icon
C4 defusal kit icon
Voicechat notifications
Scenario specific icon (hostage and planted bomb icons)

What it doesn't do:
The chat doesn't move. I haven't yet figured out how to move that yet. When I do I'll update.
After your dead, the text that tells you which team your on and how much money you have stays were it is. I haven't figured out how to move this yet. When I do I'll update.

Bugs: Doesn't work well with the lower Triplehead resolutions. Sorry : (

That is excellent mate, thanks!
I hope I can use your file to make mods on some other source programs, I wonder if they are similar.....?
That is a real prob on lots of games in TH2Go esp Crysis, so once again Cheers Laughing out loud

I still haven't gotten a reply from HL2Files, and its not up yet. But if anybody wants the file now and doesn't want to wait, I can send it to you over xfire, aim, or email.

The aim and email links on my posts are current. And my xfire is MobsterOO7.

The file that controls what I did here is essentially the same with some new and different HUD elements added to it depending on the Source game your talking about. I'm going to work on one for DOD tonight. We will see how well that goes.

Presumably Punkbuster won't detect this as a cheat...? I have downloaded the file (thanks) but have not installed it yet, pending a response.

CS:S doesnt use Punkbuster, But no you wont get VAC Banned because of this. Its just a simple interface modification.

Hmm...from the readme in the zipped file:

"Installation: Place the HudLayout.res file in the scripts folder. The full path is demonstrated below.

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\counter-strike source\cstrike\scripts

Credits: Valve for original file extracted with gcfscape and modified by me."

Alas there is no 'scripts' folder in my 'cstrike' folder....?

E:\GAMING\GAME INSTALLS\STEAM\steamapps\spybaz\counter-strike source\cstrike

Do I just create a 'scripts' folder within the 'cstrike' folder?
