Hover!

Hover! is a sample game originally bundled with Windows 95 and now available as a free download from Microsoft's FTP server.

Hover was later remade in 2013 to show off the advanced capabilities of Internet Explorer 11.

Baseline (Widescreen) Solution & Issues

Fullscreen mode is limited to 640x480 with no way of changing it. Fullscreen mode is doubled 320x240 by default; a full 640x480 mode can be used by toggling fullscreen with Shift+F4 instead of F4.

The game windowed can be resized but has a maximum size limit with a play area of 700x524 (the largest HUD width in DASHRES.DLL).
