The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Morrowind is the third installment of the Elder Scrolls series by Bethesda. Players select a character from an array of races and seek their destiny on the harsh landscape of the island Morrowind. This is an expansive RPG with a large world for characters to explore at their whim. Character development is based on developing skills and their corresponding attributes. This is the first Elder Scrolls game to utilize the plugin system which allows community created content to be added to the game.

Solution

No native support for widescreen. Download the Morrowind FPS Optimizer. The version I am using is static 1.96a.

After installing the optimizer select the "change Morrowind registry settings here" button located in the "status" tab. Select your resolution from the drop down list or enter the value in the pixel fields. Select your desired refresh rate of leave it at "0" if you have overridden your refresh rates. Make sure the full screen checkbox is selected. Go to the "misc|2" tab. Select your aspect ratio and desired FOV. Note that double and triple-monitor setups are supported.

The standard FOV values are...
Default 4:3 - 75
16:9 - 91.3154
15:9 - 87.61661884
16:10 - 85.2813

Now exit the program to save the changes. Create a shortcut to the Morrowind FPS Optimizer to launch Morrowind correctly.

The HUD and all two-dimensional elements do not stretch. Most two-dimensional elements can be directly scaled by the player.
