Deadfall Adventures 2013 Manual PLP Instructions

Complex setup, but good easy PLP once done.

1. SoftTH (fullscreen, DX9 x86).
2. Find %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Deadfall Adventures\ADVGame\Config\.
3. Edit ADVEngine.ini. Switch AspectRatio_MaintainXFOV to ...YFOV.
4. Edit ADVInput.ini. Under [ADVGame.AdvPlayerInput], add line: Bindings=(Name="F12",Command="FOV ##"). About 50, adjust as needed * (general FOV fix).
5. Flawless Widescreen (FWS) weapon fix:
A. Load game plugin, checkmark Enabled & Weapon FOV Fix only, FOV both value 0. Then quit.
B. Find (path-to-FWS)\PluginCache\FWS_Plugins\ Modules\DeadfallAdventures\ Dependencies\Scripts\DeadfallAdventures.lua.
C. Edit (Notepad): fDefaultAspectRatio = #.# (about 0.7, adjust as needed *; lowering makes higher weapon FOV). Save, close.
6. Start FWS, start game. In-game fullscreen (Alt+Enter if needed), select massive resolution, FOV slider minimum (value 65, but still feels bit strong).
7. At gameplay start, press F12. When FOV reverts, repeat (infrequent).

A. Two FOV oddities, but not a problem. View when holding notepad remains FOV 65; aiming with right-click zooms out slightly on most weapons, but shoots more accurately.
B. * FOV tuning: Adjust your weapon FOV & general FOV so that PLP center screen ~matches your single-screen view, then adjust further to taste. To quickly change non-weapon FOV settings during gameplay, can use console (F1) & type or paste: fov ##.
C. FWS must be restarted to recognise lua edits. Should backup lua file. If weapons revert in future, paste file back in.
D. Game port issues: For flashlight-attack, hold Alt. For melee, tap middle mouse button. Very rarely, puzzle/scripted event may require controller (or add binds in ADVInput.ini for xbox to KB ).
